Meet Leo, a kind and gentle 14 year old Chihuahua filled with love and life. Leo is in a great deal of discomfort and facing a life threatening challenge. A hidden chicken allergy led to Leo being underweight as a puppy, preventing him from undergoing neutering at the usual time. Now, he's battling a testicular tumor and enlarged prostate, causing him immense distress.
Surgery to neuter Leo is now his only chance, but his age and his existing heart murmur make it high-risk. An echocardiogram is crucial to determine if he's strong enough for the procedure.
Without surgery, Leo won't survive. We believe he has many more happy years ahead, considering Chihuahuas can live up to 20 years with proper care. He's a gentle, kind soul and my best friend since he was a pup. I'm raising funds to cover the cost of the echocardiogram and, if possible, the surgery and medication that follow.
Leo's ongoing medical needs, including numerous appointments and medications, have unfortunately resulted in significant prior expenses. This makes funding his upcoming surgery and testing even more challenging.
