I have been working for the same company since 2018. Last week, the boss said they could not pay me and the other employees for the last month we worked. So we had to switch to a new company. This is for bill money.

To add more detail, I have worked from home with the same company since 2018. I have saved and tried my best not to spend on wants instead of needs, because both of my parents passed before the age of 30. So all I have wanted is stability in my life. I have worked 3 jobs at once at times just to make ends meet. But with the increase with everything, there just has been no way. I even went to school for my Doctorate's but had to drop out right before I obtained my degree because I did not have the funds to pay for the dissertation courses. So times have been rough but with the way I worked, I could live if I did not miss any time off work. Well last week, my boss told me and all the employees that she could not pay us for the last month we worked. She wanted us to either transfer to another company that she recommended, go to a company we knew, or start our own company. I decided to start my own company, but when we switched from under her we also lost our hours that we selected for the next 2-3 weeks. We are independent contractors who set our own hours. Every week a new schedule is released but when we switch companies, we have to receive a new contract for that new company. So in addition to not being paid for the last month, losing our selected hours for the next 2-3 weeks, and missing the upcoming released schedule selection because our contracts are still being worked on; we are looking at 2-3 months out of missed pay. Every check I would add a little to my savings. However, everything that I had saved has gone to starting my business and the rest will go to rent. That's all I have. I have applied to numerous of jobs, and they are all either denying me or not responding. So this is not looking the best. I have registered my business and am now working on a payroll website and business bank. But even once I get that resolved, I will have to wait until my contract is fixed and pray that there are hours available to select. Anything that is received will go towards my bills: lights, rent, business bank funding, payroll funding, internet, phone bill, food, etc. If you can give, I really do appreciate it.
