with deep sadness and concern that we write to you to request your invaluable support for the benefit of two sisters who are going through a difficult health and economic situation.

The Mrs. Maria de Jesus Alanis, 69 years old

and her sister Elizabeth Alanis, 55 years old.

The younger sister has suffered from mental faculties and epilepsy since she was 5 years old. Her parents, despite being responsible for her care, did not follow up properly on her illnesses. Therefore, her epilepsy has worsened in recent years. After the death of their parents, Mrs. Maria took on the responsibility of caring for her sister.

Since then, Mrs. Maria has dedicated her life to the well-being of her younger sister Elizabeth. Despite the difficulties and her own health limitations, she has never abandoned her, providing her with the unconditional love and support she needs.

However, Mrs. Maria's health has also been affected over time. She currently suffers from various heart diseases, including high blood pressure, arrhythmias, and angina pectoris. She also has polyps in her gallbladder that cause her severe pain, and vision problems since she only has vision in one eye.

Unfortunately, neither of the two sisters has health insurance or the economic or emotional support of their family. And Mrs. Maria does not have a stable job since she is a street vendor and due to her age and her and her sister's medical problems, it is difficult for her to do both this job and any other. This has brought Mrs. Maria to the brink of despair, as they do not have the means to cover the expenses of their medications, medical consultations with specialists (neurologist and cardiologist) and a proper diet.

Among the main needs is to cover the cost of medications such as:

  • Levetiracetam
  • Carbamazepine
  • Betahistine
  • Clonazepam
  • Numecial

As well as a neurological medical consultation since in the place where they are there is only one neurologist

And although it may not seem like it, food since the younger sister due to epileptic seizures and her medications over the years has lost her teeth and needs special food. And Mrs. Maria due to heart and gallbladder problems also needs a balanced diet. All this for two adults alone without the support of any institution or their family is almost impossible to cover.

That is why we are asking for your valuable help to raise $3500 USD. This amount would allow them to cover their basic health and food needs for one year.

Any donation, no matter how small, will be of great help to these two sisters who need it so much. Your generosity will give them a hope of a dignified life and allow them to face this difficult situation with greater strength.
