I am writing a book (and have several more outlined, once I have the time!) I would love to have a break from work to focus on it. I am self-employed so being creative with ways to get an "advance," if you will. Thanks!

I recently self-published my first book, Annie the Adventurer. It is a children's book that tackles tough conversations about aging, death and dying, and the loss of a grandparent, but does so in a sweet, understandable way that leaves people feeling hopeful. My grandma was the inspiration for the book- after she died, I felt compelled to share her life story. Now, I have several more books I am working on: one about my dad and his young life (he is still living and it is the best gift I could ever give him, one is about my dog that recently passed away, one is a fictional read about a mom and daughter on a road trip, and then one that is a collection of essays about the dudes I dated and how I ended up in Texas. The challenge is finding time to sit and write while also running my own salon. I need a break, but with being self-employed, I don't have any vacation time. So I am hoping some awesome people out there with funds to spare can help me on my writing adventure! I swear I will pay it forward!
