Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are starting this fundraiser on behalf of our dear friend Jackie. She was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at only 38 years old. Jackie has taken this entire journey in stride, continuously being strong for her family and friends. However, now we have to be the strong ones for her.
As she embarks on the challenging journey of fighting this disease, we are stepping up to ensure that her focus remains on her health while providing a stable and secure future for her daughters Zemirah and Zuri.
Over the past 28 years of friendship we’ve built with Jackie we can confidently describe her intelligent, creative, driven, and a force of a woman that makes an impact on every person she meets. She is a devoted mother to her 2 loving children and wife to her husband who all adore her and want to see her win her fight with cancer. Although we know that cancer will be a difficult battle she has always been known for her strength and positive outlook. We are confident she will beat it with our love and support.
Our aim is to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by their family during this trying time. Jackie will undergo chemo every two weeks and the copay each time is $1200. The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will be utilized for uncovered medical expenses, childcare, transportation/travel, day-to-day living expenses, and necessary follow-up care. This will enable Jackie to concentrate on her treatment and recovery without added stress.
